I attended Soumya's IoT tutorial session for IEEE World Forum on Internet of Things at Reston, VA, USA. I found that his tutorial was one of the best tutorials I ever attended. He explained from A to Z, which means from basic concepts to real experiments and demonstrations. His tutorial was very well organized so that everyone could follow his tutorial easily. Thank you very much for your efforts on it.Dr. Sangwhan Cha Professor at the University of New Brunswick, Canada
I can’t believe how interesting & structured IoT is once you know the inside secrets. I would have never discovered any of this on my own – like everyone else, I always thought it was difficult. Well, it isn’t. Thanks for spending your time & enlightening us.Robin Amar Algorithm Engineer, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System), Continental Automotive Components (India) Pvt. Ltd.
I have been an active part of the ioT workshop by future tech labs held in St Thomas engineering college, Kolkata. It was a very good experience. Key notes were really good and speakers from different companies working in IoT space gave their lecture. It was an excellent learning experience. Being a beginner in IoT space, I had no problem in understanding the different concepts that were explained. FTL is doing a great job bringing these student Industry interaction in IoT space. The speakers had the capacity to hold the audience's interest. They could penetrate into the deeper concepts of IoT. I was able to develop IoT projects on my own after the workshop.Tanmay Chakraborty Student in Adamas University, Kolkata, India
Being an Engineering student in the Computer Science stream, I was always very interested in up-and-coming technologies, and their effects on our lives. The subject of IoT first caught my fancy in college, and that's when i joined IEEE. As soon as I heard about the Protocol Development Session Soumya and his company Future Tech were conducting, I knew I had to attend it.
The first Workshop on IoT and Smart Cities was held in January, in one of the best colleges in Kerala. We were given an Android App template, which was to be modified as per the requirements of the goal. It helped me a great deal in understanding all the nuances in implementing a self-reliant system, even for the simplest of tasks.
I was mightily impressed after attending the first Workshop, so attending the second one was an easy decision for me. the second Workshop I attended, conducted by Future Tech was on IoT and Connected Vehicles, in August. The event had renowned speakers from various nations, and it was a privilege to listen to all those great minds speak, sharing their vast knowledge on the topic.
Overall, it was worth attending the Workshops, because the enormous amount of information and exposure I received via these events. It's obviously a must-do for any College student who is interested in learning more about the Internet of Things, and I can definitely say that I am way better off and more motivated than ever after attending these events.
Workshop was very good and very interesting too. If possible please conduct another workshop.Tamoghna
With Future Tech Lab being the sponsor for ITSA Hackathon, a 24 Hour hackathon conducted in Sardar Patel Institute of Technology, Andheri, Mumbai on 15th and 16th February 2017. It was a great help to students as the students were working hard on the problem statements given to them to grab the internship at Future Tech Lab. The problem statement being based on IoT and Future Tech Lab’s Academy for IoT (A4IoT) initiative is helpful for them to grow and develop their knowledge and get more experience in the field of IoT. The workshops present on the website helped the students to evolve their ideas and raise it to new heights. The video sessions that included discussions helped students to get the knowledge of where the current technology is and to what extend can be raised. ITSA thanks Future Tech Lab for all the support and help which was provided by them during and post the Hackathon.Anushka Ringshia and Prem Raheja Students at Sardar Patel Institute of Technology, Mumbai, India
I have been a beneficiary of the IoT tutorial course, offered by Academy for IoT, as a webinar series, since its inception in September 2016. Stipulated one hour sessions made it really convenient for me to attend the course in a regular manner. Content-wise, what I appreciate most is the concise, at the same time balanced treatment of the overall process flow involved in applied IoT project development, covering a variety of use cases, state-of-the-art tools, techniques and implantation frameworks, which I think can give you an overall perspective and at the same time make you focused towards requisite skill-set development. That way I believe this also qualifies as an orientation course for aspiring IoT enthusiasts especially for the start-ups by providing a clear roadmap on applied learning of concepts and best practices in rapid prototyping to deployment strategies for IoT product development. I hope this e-mentoring platform will prove to be a useful resource for time-challenged professionals and students. Let me also wish the Academy for IoT all the very best in its pursuit of creating the next generation of skilled human resource in the emergent IoT domain.Pradeep Balachandran Technology Consultant, Healthcare IT domain, Bangalore
IoT is one of the emerging technologies. Gaining insight into the IoT and understanding the complete working of the IoT just by reading the content on the Internet was not sufficient. But, Soumya's workshop on IoT application development opened the doors for learning the architecture of IoT and the interfaces present in an IoT system, which helped me to understand the complete operation of the IoT. Soumya's prototype session using JSON was outstanding. The other keynote speakers gave interesting applications of IoT. Overall, the workshop was interesting. I look forward to attend more such workshops by Future Tech Lab.Nikhath Tabassum Research Scholar, Reva University, Bangalore, India
